Laurie Cunningham Born
Footballer. Born Laurence Paul Cunningham in Archway. One of the first black footballers to be selected for the England football team. He played for Leyton Orient and West Bromwich Albion, before transferring to Real Madrid in 1979. Killed in a car crash near Madrid.
